Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
Congratulations to our KS2 children who took part in a cluster skipping competition led by Dave from Skip2Bfit. We were so proud of their determination, sportsmanship, manners and behaviour and if that wasn't enough, the Year 3/4 team took 3rd place and the Year 5/6 team won the Challenge Cup! Well done team ECPS.
We took part in Comic Relief last week and raised money by wearing red and bringing our favourite jokes into school to share with each other! We managed to raise £203.56. The children also watched a video in assembly about a North Yorkshire charity called Autism Angels who have received funding from Comic Relief to provide horse riding lessons for children with autism.
We love listening to live music and thoroughly enjoyed a recent visit from the town band.
We enjoyed another visit from Dave this week who taught us how we can use boxing moves and fitness exercises to keep our minds and bodies fit. He really put us through our paces!
We all got the chance to see a professional theatre company perform Cinderella in our local theatre. We had lots of fun joining in, what a brilliant way to start the new year!
Our Christmas service this year focused on the story of the nativity and the real meaning of Christmas. Children had the opportunity to read and sing in front of a live audience and did a brilliant job. There was a chance in church for some quiet reflection and it was a time to come together as a school community. Merry Christmas everybody.
Our Mini Leaders represented our school at the community crib service this week. They received lots of compliments about how clear, fluent and confident their reading was. We are very proud of them for doing such a good job as ambassadors of our school.
We were thrilled to be invited to the first Boot Shop carol service since the end of the pandemic. We enjoyed listening to some of their members sing, act and read and we shared two of our songs with the audience.
Thank to everybody who helped to plan and run the disco. The children had a brilliant time and the costumes were amazing!!!
The Mini Leaders helped to distribute our harvest produce to the residents of Spring Hill Court. They enjoyed meeting the children and finding out what they had been learning about in school. Thank you for your kind donations.
