Homework:

Every Friday children will be set Maths, a times table grid, spellings and either Comprehension or SPAG homework. Please encourage your child to complete this to a high standard, using pencil only and to bring it back the following Wednesday.

Please support your child by ensuring they practice their current Maths Target which can be found inside the cover of their Maths homework book. Targets will be tested each week.

Please also encourage your child to read for at least 10 minutes each day and for reading records to be completed daily. They will earn an EPIC point for every 5 reads.

Year 1 children will bring their phonics folders home to practice every day. The phonics folders will be kept in the reading folders, along with the reading record and reading books.

Please ensure that reading folders are sent to school every day.

PE days are as follows:

Mrs Hesketh's class: Monday and Friday

Mrs Bramma's class: Thursday and Friday

Mrs Hargreaves's/Mrs Green's class: Thursday and Friday

Autumn Term 2:

The children have enjoyed taking part in their first Christmas production- Christmas with the Aliens. All of the children got the chance to showcase the play at The Galtres Centre, singing and dancing under the bright lights as they told the story of baby Jesus.
