Uniform Information

Our school uniform policy is as follows:

Navy ECPS jumper/cardigan, grey trousers/shorts/skirt/pinafore, pale blue polo shirt and black school shoes, pale blue summer dress. Navy, grey or white socks/tights. Other than the Navy ECPS branded jumper/cardigan all uniform items are generic and can be widely purchased. Plain navy jumpers/cardigans are also acceptable. Children will also need a waterproof and warm coat for the winter months.

Our PTA regularly hold a second hand uniform sale using items which have been outgrown and donated to them - these sales are advertised in our weekly newsletter.

Jewellery, Make Up and Fashion Accessories:

The only jewellery that is allowed in school is a watch (not a smart watch) and stud earrings. Please also remember that nail polish, stick on nails, acrylic nails, make up and false eyelashes are not allowed. Any child coming to school with these items will be asked to remove them or parents will have to come to school to remove them. Fashion items such as Stanley style cups, cat ear headbands etc. are also not allowed and will be confiscated and returned to parents at the end of the day. Please provide a plain water bottle with a pull up or flip up lid not one with a lid that screws off as these are easily lost. Please remember to label EVERYTHING!!!

P.E:

It is vital that your child has the correct P.E kit for their P.E lessons or, following North Yorkshire County Council health and safety guidelines, we cannot allow them to take part in their P.E lesson. We do have a small number of spare P.E kits but we strongly advise that you ensure that your child has the correct kit to wear on their P.E day. All P.E uniform items are generic and can be widely purchased. All jewellery, including jewellery worn for religious purposes, must be removed for PE lessons, children must be able to remove their own jewellery for their PE lessons including earrings. If they are unable to, then they must not wear them for school on their PE days. This is the responsibility of the parent. 

Indoor P.E kit: navy or black shorts, yellow polo shirt and black pumps/plimsolls. Please include socks as tights cannot be worn under their P.E shorts.

Outdoor P.E kit: navy or black shorts, yellow polo shirt, navy or black tracksuit top and bottoms, and trainers. Please include socks as tights cannot be worn under their P.E shorts.
