Young Voices 2020

Young Voices: What a fantastic time we had! Last Wednesday, we travelled to Manchester Arena to join with other schools across the UK in singing our well-rehearsed performances of a range of different songs. The whole event was electric and the children sung their hearts out. The day began with a rehearsal where we learnt to sing as one giant (8,000 strong) choir. After our dinner, we performed to all the parents, friends and family who came to watch us - around 9,000 people - if not more. We were fortunate enough to sing with Tony Hadley, The Shires, and Ruti - the winner of the 2017 series, the Voice. They were phenomenal and it was a real privileged to sing with them. The children were impeccably behaved and a credit to the school and their families. Children passed many comments about how exciting the event was, and many explained that this was their first opportunity to attend an event like it - something I think they will very much like to do again next year. It was so lovely to hear them speak so fondly of the experience.
