We have a had a fun filled week in school and everybody enjoyed their Christmas parties. I have still not recovered from losing to Miss Potter in the After Eight game! Our Christmas dinner was delicious and I would like to say thank you to all of the kitchen staff who worked so hard to prepare and serve it. Reverend Young did a fantastic job of delivering our Christmas service online and the children were really captivated by a video of her daughter playing Jingle Bells on her French horn. We also really enjoyed the final Open the Book assembly of the year where we concluded the Christmas story. My week has ended in Mrs Bramma's class with a raucous round of the Christmas Pirate Game, I didn't know that our Year 4s were so ruthless! Happy Christmas everybody.
Year 1 had a real-life experience when they recreated the Great Fire of London this week. They burnt down the models they had made to help them to see for themselves how the fire spread and what was left at the end. This will give them lots of ideas for their writing about how the people felt and will also give them some inspiration for their art work based on David Best for their corridor display
